Established at Witvlei in 2004, Hunter's Pride Taxidermy has become a symbol of resilience, craftsmanship and community support. The business, dedicated to the art of taxidermy, specialises in preserving the beauty of Namibian wildlife for both local and international clientele.

The company was established with a clear mission: To deliver a high-standard product to the local community while showcasing the best in taxidermy craftsmanship to the world. Client services and effective communication remain cornerstones of their business philosophy.

Recognising taxidermy as an art form, Hunter's Pride manufactures moulds and forms in-house for shoulder and full mounts. While many materials are sourced from South Africa, the dedication to creating a natural aesthetic remains resolute.

Beyond crafting lifelike trophies, Hunters Pride Taxidermy plays a vital role in the local community. The business provides jobs to 16 households and families, and contributes to local school events such as sports, choirs, and prize-giving ceremonies. This commitment underscores their dedication to the overall well-being of the community.

While the pandemic dealt a severe blow to the tourism sector, affecting Hunter's Pride Taxidermy for two challenging years, the business weathered the storm by making tough decisions. However, the support of the Omaheke community, coupled with the trust and friendship of clients, both local and international, were pivotal in keeping their doors open.
