Ashley Tebuho Mbanga, also known as AYTEEAM, traces her educational journey from Emma Hoogenhout Primary School to Delta Secondary School Windhoek. These formative years were enriched with extracurricular activities like tromp poppies [drum majorettes] and talent shows, nurturing her passion for dance and music.

As a dancer, Mbanga's immersion in music led her to explore various genres, laying the groundwork for her career as a versatile sound engineer.

Her typical day revolves around music - listening intently and staying abreast of the latest trends, essential 'must-dos' in her creative process.

Since entering the industry, Mbanga's career has evolved steadily. Initially challenging, securing paid gigs posed significant hurdles as a newcomer in Windhoek's tightly-knit music scene. Over time, her perseverance and talent have earned her a respected name within Namibia's sound engineering community, she narrated.

Despite these obstacles, she remains committed to her craft, finding fulfillment in every opportunity to showcase her skills.

A memorable highlight in her career was earning an opportunity to audition at Escobar, a prestigious establishment in Windhoek. Recognised for her talent, she was granted the chance to perform - an achievement that speaks volumes about her skill and dedication.

For aspiring sound engineers, Mbanga advises pursuing the passion for music wholeheartedly, unaffected by monetary motivations. She emphasised self-confidence and resilience in overcoming industry challenges, affirming that personal identity and skill ultimately define success amid the noise of competition.
