Linea Kapofi has been a teacher at the N/a’an ku sê Primary School since January 2023 and leads the adult literacy programme at Naankuse Farm.

She earned an honours degree in education from the University of Namibia.

"We have staff members who have never gone to school and are presently partaking in the programme. This programme has seen major success in giving an opportunity to our staff to take charge of their literacy by reading, writing, and learning basic numeral skills," she said.

She also instructs students to sign the alphabet and fingerspell their names, in addition to teaching them some fundamental signs.

This approach is aimed at fostering multilingualism and enhancing their ability to communicate effectively with individuals who are deaf, should they come across such situations.

Fingerspelling (or dactylology) is the representation of the letters of a writing system, and sometimes numeral systems, using only the hands.
