Happy Art Hour returns to the National Art Gallery
The National Art Gallery of Namibia (NAGN) is excited to announce the relaunched Happy Art Hour social event, featuring College of the Arts (COTA) Alumni on Friday 19, July 2024 at 17h00 – 20h00.
Filled with creativity and community, (and a tantalising refreshment), the event welcomes all art enthusiasts for a casual walk through the gallery. The NAGN currently has the COTA ‘New Beginnings’ annual graduate show on display, as well as the continued ‘Artistic
Research’ and ‘Communal Knowledge: Reconnecting with Returned Cultural Belongings Exhibition.’
It also houses a display of work from its permanent collection titled, ‘Earthbound:
Collected and Archived’. The Happy Art Hour tickets offer great value for money. Set
at N$50.00, a ticket buys you entry into the event and is accompanied by a complimentary delicious cup of soup and vetkoek. Thereafter, vouchers are available for purchasing an array of food and drinks.
The NAGN aims to host an evening that celebrates local art and fosters community and human connectedness. Tickets will only be sold at the door, so we encourage the public not to miss out on an entertaining, vibrant and engaging evening.
