Zwischenfall bei Entladung

Die Stadt Windhoek klärte die Öffentlichkeit zwecks des weißen dichten Rauches am Dienstag auf und erklärte: „Wir haben Anrufe erhalten, die auf dichten Rauch in den südlichen Gebieten von Windhoek hinweisen. Wir möchten Sie darauf hinweisen, dass dieser Rauch von der Kupferberg-Deponie ausgeht, wo ein Zwischenfall bei der Entladung von Materialien zu einer chemischen Reaktion und einem anschließenden Brand geführt hat.“ Das Feuer wurde demnach eingedämmt und es bestand keine Gefahr einer weiteren Ausbreitung.
