Combatting breast cancer with a tune
South African singer and songwriter Cordelia wowed the crowd at the Walvis Bay municipality hall last Thursday evening. The singer partnered with the Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN) under the theme 'Cup for Cancer' in support of breast cancer awareness, and the initiative aimed to eradicate late-stage and advanced breast cancer cases in Namibia.
This is not the first time CAN and Cordelia are collaborating.
"I was invited by CAN a few years ago to perform at one of their events and it was a wholesome experience. I've loved it ever since and decided to choose this platform to promote music and cancer awareness at the same time," the 'Every Breath You Take' singer said.
Cordelia was set to perform at the crocodile farm in Otjiwarango on Friday and then at the Kupferquelle Resort in Tsumeb, her last stop this time, on Saturday.
