On Saturday, cyclists set off on a race from Karibib to Wilhelmstal in support of the Dagbreek School as part of a fundraising event for the school.

This cycling event – the first of its kind – showcased the community's support for children with special needs.

The ride also focused on the cyclists’ endurance and highlighted the kindness of donors and sponsors who contributed to the cause.

“The support for our event comes from the hearts of people as well as our sponsors. The support and kindness we received were really beautiful,” Paul du Plessis, principal of Dagbreek, said after the event.

The success of the fundraising cycle event highlighted the value of collaboration and community involvement, all aimed at bettering the lives of learners at the school.

Last month, the Dagbreek School said the event was being held in support of the school's dream of building six new classrooms.
