Neo Paints launches Big 5 promotion

Every year, Neo Paints, Namibia’s largest and longest-standing paint manufacturer, commits to bring a new and exciting promotion to the market to thank its loyal customers, while supporting numerous initiatives working towards social upliftment, environmental protection and conservation.

This year, the company has embarked on a national Big 5 promotion, which will see over N$200 000 in prizes up for grabs.

“We wanted to add some renewed excitement to the Neo Paints purchasing experience, while also supporting conservation through the Rhino Momma initiative this year. We feel this contribution will not only aide them in their noble efforts, but also help to safeguard the attractiveness this species adds to our tourism sector, which is a key contributor to our economy,” Victor Boshoff, Neo Paints CEO, said.

To take part, all customers need to do is spend N$500 or more at any participating retailer countrywide, and you will receive a scratch card that could see you winning instant prizes, including cash, luxury get-aways, a meat carcass, promotional items and paint for the purchaser as well as a charity of their choice.



The Rhino Momma Project

For every can of paint sold, Neo Paints will also be donating an amount to the Rhino Momma Project to assist it in the tireless effort to conserve this iconic species in the country.

It is a non-profit organisation that’s made a significant impact in not only protecting our rhinos, but also growing the rhino population.

“Since purchasing our first rhino in August 2011, we’ve made it our mission to help save this magnificent species from extinction by breeding as many rhinos as possible, all in an effort to repopulate Namibia and Africa with rhinos. This is no small task, but with your help and support we can turn back the clock and protect one of our continent’s most precious wildlife species,” the project noted in a statement.

There are only two northern white Rhinos left on the planet, both female. If poaching continues at its current pace, the southern white rhino will join them at the brink of extinction in our lifetime.

“Ninety of the estimated 21 085 southern white rhinos left call Rhino Momma Project home. Here, our main purpose is to grow these population figures by providing the best environment, feed, security and veterinary services rhinos need to flourish.”

Since our first calf was born in 2013 to July 2022, we have bred 130 rhinos! Thirty of these rhinos were exported and the majority of the rest were relocated to reserves in Namibia,” the organisers added.



Three winners thus far!

Since the start of the promotion, three lucky customers have already won. One gentleman won N$5 000 at Pupkewitz MegaBuild in Oranjemund, another won N$3 000 at Agra Hyper in Windhoek and the third walked away with two 20-litre Aurora PVA paint containers for himself as well as for a charity of his choice.
