MTC launches Teen Inspirational Summit

MTC has announced the launch of the second edition of the MTC Teen Inspirational Summit, set to take place on 30 March at the International University of Management (IUM) main campus, Tunana Hall in Windhoek.

The event aims to engage, stimulate, encourage and inspire Namibian teenagers through inspirational speeches and talent displays, with the theme 'Be your own hero'.

A highlight of the summit will be the appearance of internationally acclaimed music group Ghetto Kids, hailing all the way from Uganda.

Alongside the Ghetto Kids, the summit will feature a line-up of talented local acts, including Ms Gideon, Azmo Nawe, Miss Teen Namibia, The Wannahed Girls and many more.

Tickets for the event, priced at N$100, will be available for purchase on WebTickets.

Speaking at the launch, Faustina Caley, deputy minister of education, emphasised the importance of nurturing dreams among Namibian youth, affirming government's commitment to providing an enabling environment for their aspirations.

In her address, Miss Teen Namibia, Oriana Ribeiro, encouraged her peers to cultivate a positive mindset, stressing the attainability of their dreams. She urged them to approach life with intentionality and responsibility, underscoring the importance of setting goals for the future.

Tim Ekandjo, MTC's chief human capital, corporate affairs and marketing officer, expressed the company's dedication to investing in the youth, recognising them as the custodians of the nation's future. He called on parents and educational institutions to support the Teen Summit and ensure the attendance of young participants.

The summit stands as a collaborative effort between the public and private sectors, aimed at fostering a culture of inspiration and self-belief among Namibian teenagers, ultimately empowering them to become the architects of their own destinies.
