A home away from home
Town View Guesthouse set on delivering quality service
Located in Okahandja, Town View Guesthouse was opened in January 2020 by its chief executive officer Andreas Nuule.
The guesthouse is positioned perfectly to allow visitors a chance to visit sites around and near the town.
The guesthouse is situated a little under a kilometre from Moordkoppie and a 17-minute walk from Spar Supermarket in Okahandja. The Okahandja Medical Centre is located 1.1 kilometres from the guesthouse, while the Von Bach Dam Nature Reserve is seven kilometres away.
Andreas Nuule, the CEO of the guesthouse, has a wide range of knowledge and experience in operating businesses. Some of these include retail, hospitality, and farming, which makes him a jack of all trades. He believes in the expansion of one’s abilities, especially in business.
The community comes first
He intends to expand the Town View guesthouse brand and to have branches not only in Okahandja and Swakopmund but in various areas of the country. Through this, he believes the hospitality business can add value to the community as a whole by offering a much-needed service and simultaneously creating employment.
Nuule stated that "it is important to inspire the Namibian youth that have entrepreneurial aspirations and fight the high unemployment rate in our country."
He emphasised that he believes that excellent management and good relationships with the business community will ensure successful business operations and profitable growth.
Town View Guesthouse prioritises communicating skilfully with customers, to ensure that even departing guests still feel part of the family.
Town View interacts with potential customers through various platforms such as social media, print media (flyers), and creates an opportunity for rapport through these platforms.
Nuule’s started working in business as early as 2000. Embodying the true essence of a well-rounded leader, he says that life can be fun with a sense of humour and a flexible approach. He puts great emphasis on integrity, saying it is important. He is also a go-getter, showing that life in business requires action – he is a man of action and likes to get things done.
Vision
With the mission to become the best accommodation establishment, not only in Okahandja, but throughout the country, Town View Guesthouse prioritises good quality service and overall customer satisfaction.
The guesthouse employs nine employees. "Our goal is to render excellent services to our customers and improve the livelihoods of Namibians," said Nuule.
Town View aims to create a "home away from home" for customers.
Facilities
Town View offers quality rooms with air-conditioning, each with an en suite bathroom, flat panel satellite television (DStv), and tea and coffee supplies.
With a playground for children, it is guaranteed that youngsters will never be bored. For the older customers who simply want to relax, there is a bar and lounge area that offers beverages of all kinds. The guesthouse has an out-door braai area fit for the entire family. Town View also caters to large groups of people and offers a conference area for business gatherings and events.
There are various catering options available to customers, including self-catering or in-house catering. Breakfast is included in the price of the rooms, but for lunch and dinner, reservations need to be made in advance.
