Jemimah Ndebele
Newly established security and response company, West Valley Armed Response, was established last year and brought into full steam in March this year, with the mission of providing tailored security solutions to protect and secure the safety of their clients, their families, and their properties amidst the increasing security challenges faced by communities.
With the basic objective being to prevent crime against people, property, and proprietary information, West Valley Armed Response ensures a safe and danger-free environment so that people can conduct their daily chores and businesses without fear.
The new kid on the security block is comprised of a team of skilled and experienced employees that hope to change the security and armed response industry through the use of advanced technologies and knowledgeable skills. The company has a staff with more than 20 years of experience in the security industry. It aims to deliver on its promise to keep the community and businesses safe to ensure they thrive in challenging environments.
"We have a team of well-experienced and passionate members that will help take the company where we’d like for it to be in both near- and long-term future," said the company’s chief executive officer, Simon Shivute.
Tech-savvy
With the goal of advancing technologically in the security and response industry, the company offers services such as 24-hour security monitoring, installations and service of security systems, closed-circuit television systems as well as remote-video verification, in addition to security patrol services, training and consultancy.
"In regards to technological advancements, the company’s strategic development executive, Shahid Abrahams, has made tremendous contributions to the company’s technological progress. He suggested the use of a tracking system that makes sure our employees are patrolling the area and that will alert us of any suspicious activity when not clocked-in regularly," Shivute added.
An array of services
The newly established company caters to the security and response needs of companies such as Bank Windhoek, Safland Property Group, and JD Properties Plus, Inc. "West Valley Armed Response will aim to play a leading role in managing the transition of security guard forces for clients interested in outsourcing or improving their current security programs. Cost-effective security solutions with the best outcome for the satisfaction of our clients will be provided, whether for business or individual needs," Abrahams, the strategic development executive, said.
"With an increasing demand for uniformed security services, trained personnel have developed comprehensive security packages in order to address our clients’ specific needs. Additionally, we hope to promote a business culture based on trust, reliability, innovation, forward-thinking dedication, and effective response to clients’ needs."
The company, located in the southern industrial area, with their headquarters on the first floor of the Old Power Station complex, is as responsive to corporate social responsibility calls as they are to security needs. They recently sponsored a primary school children’s spelling bee show called Straight Talk, with prizes for the winners of the English spelling bee.
