The multifaceted Basson
Recently appointed at Namibia Media Holdings, Razilla Zharné Basson is excited about her new position and sees it as an opportunity to apply her knowledge and skills.
Razilla Zharné Basson is an ambitious 27-year-old who was born and raised in Rehoboth. She recently began working at Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) at Synergy Marketing as the vacancy administrator. She provides information and quotes to clients who are interested in placing vacancy ads.
Basson is excited about her new position and sees it as an opportunity to apply her knowledge and skills.
She said the job presents an opportunity to "find ways to add value, and apply my experience from different industries that I have learned from."
Multi-talented
She attended Joseph’s Primary School and continued her studies at Dr. Lemmer Secondary School. She attended NIMT in Arandis, where she completed her tertiary education and studied fashion design.
"This is where I developed my love for clothes and designing and finished my Level 3 in 2018."
Basson also took courses on paramedics and obtained a BLS certificate.
She worked for Emed Rescue in Walvis Bay from 2015 to 2016.
Basson describes herself as an extrovert who enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. She is also family-oriented and enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. In addition, she loves to indulge in active sports such as netball and volleyball.
Challenges
"My biggest challenge was adjusting to a new city and working environment, but that came together much smoother than I thought it would because of the connections I made in and around NMH," she said about her move to NMH.
She also added that her new position was challenging at the start because she is used to working outside instead of in an office space.
However, she is embracing the new experience.
"There is nothing wrong with trying something different."
