Agnes Kafula (vorne), Bürgermeisterin von Windhoek, enthüllt einen von insgesamt acht Engeln, die an der Gedenkstätte für Kinder aufgestellt wurden. Die Initiatoren des Denkmals sind Generaal und Issie du Toit. Die beiden sind die Eltern des verstorbenen Mauritz du Toit, der im Jahr 2010 bei einem Motorrad-Unfall ums Leben kam. Der Finanzaufwand des Monuments beläuft sich auf 500000 Namibia-Dollar und wurde gestern von dem Ehepaar du Toit der Windhoeker Stadtverwaltung übergeben.
