DHPS Bazaar - German tradition since 1949

School bazaars are the social highlight of most schools. At DHPS, the last Friday before the August school holidays brings to life the biggest event of each school year, even more so in 2009 when the DHPS celebrates it's centenary. From 12 o'clock on Friday 21st of August the public is invited to come and join the school community in their celebrations.

Besides the usual stalls and culinary delights some special events will mark this day! At 14:30 hours a first day cover and mini sheet will be launched in the foyer of the school hall. Special thanks to NamPost and the artist Anja Denker who supported this initiative. Jörg Finkeldey, school father of DHPS and owner of Ca-melthorn Brewing Namibia will present a so called "Jubiläums- Bräu" (jubilee brew) in commemoration of the schools' birthday.

Tailor made labels will give the beer bottles a special DHPS touch and make them a collector's delight! Besides the colorful Bazaar show in the afternoon you can look forward to dance away the night with the Wikaphoniker and Carla and Ingolf in the school hall.

And possibly DHPS Bazaar will make you a millionaire. The final draw of the Anniversary raffle at 21:00 hrs will give 10 x N$ 10.000 and one million N$ to the lucky winners. Right in the heart of Windhoek, Church Street, 21.August 2009 from 12 o'clock. See you there!
