PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY ON COVID-19
The Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 has released a travel advisory for all return travelers to Nigeria, effective from the 4th May 2021, as detailed below;
•Any person who has visited Brazil, India or Turkey within Fourteen (14) days pre-ceding travel to Nigeria shall be denied entry into Nigeria. This regulation, howev-er, does not apply to passengers who transited through these countries
•Passengers must test negative by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) from the coun-try of exit 3 days (72 hours) before departure. Tests done more than 72 hours be-fore departure are not valid
•Prior to boarding, passengers are requested to upload their COVID-19 PCR NEG-ATIVE results on to the national payment portal and have an electronic or hard copy for presentation at the airport
•All intending passengers are required to register via – http://nitp.ncdc.gov.ng and pay for a repeat (second) PCR test to be done upon arrival in Nigeria
•Passengers must fill in an online Health Declaration/Self-Reporting Form located on the Nigeria International Travel Portal which must be submitted online or printed for presentation on arrival. Information provided must be verifiable
•At the time of boarding, all travelers will undergo temperature screening and ques-tioned for COVID-19 symptoms. Passengers with COVID-19 related signs and symptoms will not be allowed to board the flight.
Nigerians and those with permanent resident permit returning from Brazil, India or Turkey shall undergo seven (7) days of mandatory quarantine in a Government ap-proved facility at the point-of-entry city and at cost to the passenger and shall take a COVID-19 PCR test within 24 hours of arrival
