Good food leaves long lasting memories...
Ingredients:
5 well-known chefs
Heaps of fun and laughter
Mix of taste, colours and textures
of Namibian meat
Quality time
Method:
Mix knowledge and experience
of chefs together. Whip fun and
laughter elements until concentrated.
Add blend of spices. Deep fry
Namibian meat few strips at a time,
in hot oil until lightly golden and
crispy. Arrange on serving dish.
Then serve hundreds with FNB
Home Loan Bonds.
"It is a first for FNB Home Loans to take our clients (back) to their kitchens. Families spend more than 25 percent of their time preparing food in inadequate spaces. Entering the competition and visiting the Chef's Theatre could win you a new kitchen and appliances up to the value of N$130000," according to Beverley Saenen, Manager Corporate Wealth Creation of FNB Namibia.
Household names like Antoinette de Chavonnes Vrugt (The crazy red haired chef), Francois Ferreira (The performing chef), Fortunato Mazzone (The singing chef), Jenny Morris (AKA the Giggling Gourmet), Heini van Biljon (The funky chef), Nanna Lewins, Durr Ferreir, Alex Christow (The Surprise chefs) and Frank Opperman as compère will entertain audiences from Friday, 30 May to 2 June 2007, at the Windhoek Show Grounds. Recipe and menu development as well as promoting and demonstrating food and related products will be discussed during the four days at Namibia Tourism Expo. "Topics like Chicken Out, Musical Pasta, More Rude Food and Ready Steady Cook should appetize culinary lovers," Beverley adds.
The "Get cooking with a new kitchen" competition consists of three lucky draws on a monthly basis. Home appliances from Manrico International; a selection of Meatco and Namibia Breweries products respectively are up for grabs. The grand winner could walk away with a new kitchen from Cupboard Concepts of up to N$80000, a bar fridge plus N$3000 worth of Namibia Brewery products and a chest freezer plus Meatco products worth N$4100. The winner will be announced on 2 June 2007.
Who qualifies for the competition? New home buyers who apply for an FNB Home Loan, existing FNB Home Loan customers who apply for an FNB Re-advance or Further Bond, home owners from other banks that would like to convert to FNB Home Loans. Note: Terms and conditions apply.
So make your move and get cooking... maybe with a new kitchen and appliances!
