Keine Angst vor großen Bullen und Kühen
Zum 21. Wettbewerb der Kinderführer auf der Windhoeker Industrie- und Landwirtschafts-Messe hatten sich gestern zahlreiche Jungen und Mädchen in den Altersklassen 2 bis 8 Jahre und 9 bis 14 Jahre gemeldet. Die Gruppe für 15- bis 19-Jährige lockte zur Enttäuschung der Organisatoren nur zwei Teilnehmer. Sehr viel Spaß hatten die Zuschauer und Beurteiler jedoch mit den restlichen Teilnehmern, die sich größte Mühe gaben. Die Kleinen und Jugendlichen mussten nicht nur die Rinder gut führen, sondern auch einiges über die Tiere wissen. Auch die Kleidung der jungen Führer wurde beachtet. Der dreijährige Corné Louwrens schien keine Probleme mit der Simbrakuh zu haben, die ihm auf Schritt und Tritt folgte. Ab heute werden die ersten Rinderrassen auf der diesjährigen Windhoek Show beurteilt. Am Donnerstag finden die Interrassen-Wettbewerbe statt. Die Sieger werden am Nachmittag in der Arena während der Großen Parade bekannt gegeben und ausgezeichnet. Anschließend wird wieder ein Feuerwerk den Himmel über Windhoek erleuchten.
