Windhoek/Bethanie (nic) – Eine 48-jährige Angestellte der Fish River Lodge hat am Sonntag vermutlich Selbstmord begangen. Dies teilte die namibische Polizei in ihrem gestrigen Kriminalbericht mit. Darin heißt es, eine weitere Mitarbeiterin der Unterkunft habe den toten Körper von Aletta Brand gegen neun Uhr morgens in ihrem Zimmer gefunden.

„Unseren derzeitigen Ermittlungen zufolge hat sich das Opfer mit einem Stück Draht erhängt“, erläuterte der zuständige Polizeikommissar Chrispin Mubebo. Ein Abschiedsbrief sei zwar nicht gefunden worden, doch gehe die Polizei dennoch nicht von einem Verbrechen aus.
