Opuwo Country HotelOpuwo is the gateway to the Kaokoveld of the northwestern part of Namibia or also known as the Kunene Region. The remote area south of the Kunene River is the home of the Himba people, who have kept their ethnic individuality and culture in the seclusion of Kaokoland.
Opuwo Country Hotel was officially opened by His Excellency, Hifikepunye Pohamba, on 25 August 2005. The hotel provides comfortable luxury accommodation in 28 luxury rooms and 12 standard rooms with air conditioning.

Twyfelfontein Country LodgeThe Lodge is situated in the heart of the Twyfelfontein Uibasen Conservancy and boast 56 en-suite twin rooms, reception, lounge, curio shop, open dining room, bar and swimming pool.
During construction utmost care was taken to reduce the visual impact on the environment and to blend into the mountainside with the use of thatch roofs, natural stone and paint colours toning in with the surrounding rock formations.
A personal touch is added when the lodge personnel treat the guests with a traditional dance and choir performance during the delicious buffet dinner.
The Twyfelfontein area, being a very vulnerable and delicate ecosystem, is renowned for some of the best examples of Bushman paintings and rock engravings in southern Africa and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Interesting rock formations and the remainder of prehistoric volcanic action can be seen among the most prominent geographic features including the Organ Pipes, Burnt Mountain, Doros Crater and the Petrified Forest.
The fauna and flora of Damaraland is typical of the Pro-Namib region and plant species include the magnificent Welwitschia, Moringa and a variety of the Commiphora species. The desert adapted elephant, giraffe, springbok, zebra, oryx, and ostrich, some of the wildlife which can be found living in total harmony with the community.
Day excursions include nature drives, hiking and cycling, nature walks, and guided safaris into the surrounding wilderness areas. The Damara Living Museum nearby is
worth a visit where the traveller can experience true Damara culture with traditional dances, games and donkey cart rides.
Twyfelfontein Country Lodge is located approximately 100 km west of the small town of Khorixas and is accessible along the district road C39. Turn off at D2612 before joining route D 3254 which has indicators to the Twyfelfontein Country Lodge.

Namushasha Country LodgeNamushasha Country Lodge is a real unspoilt African experience with luxury facilities in very scenic surrounds. It is situated on the banks of the Kwando River, overlooking a tranquil hippo pool, with over 300 recorded bird species in abundance.
This luxury bush lodge is situated 24km south of Kongola in the East Caprivi, offering 23 en-suite bungalows and one VIP unit. All bungalows are fitted with mosquito nets.
Boat trips and fishing trips on the Kwando River or game drives in the Bwabwata National Park is a popular past time. A 4 km hiking trail promise to surprise with birdlife and interesting flora. The lodge has a small pool, bar, sundowner deck, curio shop and buffet res-taurant.
Attractions in the area include Mudumo and Mamili National Parks, Lizauli Traditional Village and Mashi Craft Centre. Camping facilities are available.
Tsumkwe Country LodgeTsumkwe Country Lodge is situated in the heart of Bushmanland where the ancient San culture can be explored.
The lodge offers 25 twin units and one double bed unit, all with en-suite shower and flush toilet facilities with a veranda in front of each unit. It is built from modern material, steel, corrugation and canvas covered walls. The units form clusters, enhanced by lush indigenous foliage, creating a natural environment.
The lodge property is enclosed to keep elephant and other wildlife out, making it a safe environment for families with children. The big thatch roof in the centre of the lodge offers cool retreat to guests returning from a cultural activity at one of the many Ju/`hoansi San Villages or returning from an excursion to the Nyae Nyae Pan system with its abundant wildlife.
Take a refreshing dip in the small swimming pool, encircled by a green patch of lawn. The restaurant and bar also form part of the thatched lapa with ample space to sit and relax, perfect for socializing and meeting other guests who share a passion for the wilderness and adventure.
Normal 2x4 sedan vehicles can easily access Tsumkwe Country Lodge. Two open 4x4 vehicles, seating up to nine guests, as well as a 12 seat Unimog vehicle, conduct full or half day guided excursions to the Nyae Nyae Pans, Holboom and Bushman villages. Picnic lunches can be arranged for full day excursions. Tsumkwe boasts a reliable fuel station and small general dealer to replenish or stock up on provisions for those camping wild.
Tsumkwe Country Lodge is your ideal base from where to start your journey into the Khaudum National Park or visit the Okavango Delta in Botswana via the Dobe border post, only 50km from Tsumkwe. Dobe border post operates between 08h00 and 17h00 seven days a week.
The five camp sites are each equipped with an electricity point, own BBQ area and communal ablution block.
A gravel airstrip is situated 10km from Tsumkwe Country Lodge. The co-ordinates are S19.35 E20.27.
Auob Country LodgeAuob Country Lodge is the ideal first night stop-over on your tour to the south to the beautiful Kalahari Desert landscape en route to the magnificent Quivertree forest and Keetmanshoop.
Aoub Country Lodge, a green oasis in the Kalahari landscape, is situated on the banks of the dry Auob River. The small town Gochas is only 6 km away. The gem in the Kalahari offers 25 en-suite double rooms, a restaurant, a lapa, a TV room, a lounge and bar is at your disposal.
The red dunes of the Kalahari are in strong contrast to the white calcareous rocks of the valley formed by the Auob River. In an area of 8 000 ha around the lodge, various antilope, giraffe, smaller mammals and many bird species can be seen. The plants in this area are well adapted to the harsh conditions of the Kalahari.
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere at the swimming pool or discover the surrounding area on foot, or on a sundowner drive. The beautiful Kalahari sunsets over the red dunes and the Camelthorn trees are breathtaking and a must for photographers. On request, stargazing trips can be arranged at night, one of the highlight activities.
Auob Country Lodge is easily accessible by road or plane. The private landing strip is suitable for various size planes. The co-ordinates are: S24.49 E18.46.
Solitaire Country LodgeThe mystic little settlement of Solitaire does justice to its name in more than one way. It is a must stop-over on your tour of southwes-tern Namibia and on the way to Sossusvlei. The nostalgic general dealer offers homebaked bread and apple pie, and of course, drinks, fuel and tyre repair.
Solitaire Country Lodge is situated only 83 km from Sesriem, the entrance to Sossusvlei, and is the ideal base from where to explore the Naukluft Mountains.
The lodge offers 23 en-suite bedrooms, each with two single beds or double bed and two family rooms each sleeping five people. All rooms face the central courtyard with the huge refreshing swimming pool in the centre.
Camping, bungalows and limited meals are on offer in an environment with a unique character and unsurpassed hospitality.
Scenic drives and spectacular sunsets from the top of the escarpment can be taken through Spreetshoogte or Remhoogte pass.
