WM-Teilnahme gesichert
Windhoek (ehe) – Noch vor einer Woche saß der Schock tief: Die Leichtathletik-Weltmeisterschaft für Sportler mit Behinderungen ab 14. Juli in London würde wohl ohne namibische Teilnehmer stattfinden, weil das Sportministerium wegen Haushaltskürzungen kein Geld dafür hat. Heute wurde bekannt, dass das Paralympische Komitee (NPC) und das Namibische Olympische Komitee (NNOC) eine Lösung gefunden haben und die Athleten Ananias Shikongo, Johannes Nambala, Lahja Ishitile und Aino Mushila zur WM schicken können. Noch ist allerdings nicht alles in trockenen Tüchern bzw. der benötigte Betrag zusammen. Die ganze Geschichte morgen in der AZ.
