Öffentliche Anhörungen
Kostenloses WLAN könnte eine Wirklichkeit werden
Windhoek (bw) – Die Einführung von kostenlosem WLAN (Wi-fi) in Städten, Schulen und öffentlichen Orten in Namibia könnte eventuell teilweise Wirklichkeit werden. Ein dementsprechender Antrag im Parlament ist voriges Jahr an seinen ständigen Ausschuss für Information, Kommunikation, Technologie und Innovation (IKT) verwiesen worden.
Der Ausschuss unternimmt nun öffentliche Anhörungen zu diesem Themenbereich und die erste findet heute (Montag) in Lüderitzbucht statt. Die Meinung der Einwohner und verschiedener Interessengruppen, darunter Bildungsvertreter und die Geschäftswelt, soll eingeholt werden.
Am Dienstag findet eine Anhörung in Bethanien (10 Uhr) und Keetmanshoop (15 Uhr) statt, in Karasburg und Koes am Mittwoch (10 und 14 Uhr), sowie am Donnerstag in Mariental und Maltahöhe (10 und 14 Uhr). Am Freitag ist eine Anhörung in Kalkrand (10 Uhr) vorgesehen.
Am 6. Februar findet eine Anhörung in Swakopmund (10 Uhr) statt. Danach besucht die Delegation bis zum 10. Februar die Regionen Kunene, Omusati, Oshana, Oshikoto und schließt die Anhörungen in Otjiwarongo (16 Uhr) ab.
