The FNB Women’s Super League Round 5 and 6 matches played over the weekend were a resounding success.
Matches were played at the NFA Technical Stadium on Saturday and Sunday.
The results on Saturday saw coastal visitors Arrow Ladies beating Okahandja 4-1, whereas Namib Daughters beat Ramblers 1-0.
On Sunday, it was Arrows Ladies who thrashed 3-0 against Namib Daughters (two goals by Elsabe Renecke and one by Veronica April), while Unam defeated Ramblers Ladies 2-0 (goals by Taotago Afrikaner and Hanavi Muhinatjo).
The head coach of Unam Bokkies, Boris Uirab, said they started off slow in the first half, but the players picked up in the second half.
Uirab pointed out that matches being postponed came as a disappointment, but that his team is glad to have played, and taken the three points.
