Cricket Namibia walks a path with FNB

Brian Munango
Cricket Namibia has announced an exciting new Associate Naming Sponsorship with FNB Namibia, set to begin next year in March.

While the national men’s team will continue to be known as the Richelieu Eagles until then, this four-year deal will run through to 2027, just in time for the next Cricket World Cup of which Namibia will be a co-host.

FNB Namibia already has the naming rights to the newly built Namibia Cricket Ground (NCG) in Olympia.

Cricket Namibia CEO Johan Muller expressed his excitement. “It’s a great day to celebrate our partnership with FNB Namibia. Associate partnerships in sports are rare, but they offer incredible value for both sides. Our national men’s team has achieved outstanding results, and this partnership marks the beginning of an exciting new four-year cycle.'

Muller emphasized the importance of corporate support, noting: “FNB Namibia is a strong local brand, and we’re proud to be associated with them.”
