Kudu Bulls rampant

Samsung Windhoek High School’s Kudu Bulls made their mark again in the Standard Bank NSSR Under 19 Super League against a very young Elnatan side on Saturday.
At the FNB Vegkop Stadium, WHS scored six tries before halftime and two in the second half. Caeden Moller, their fly-half, contributed five conversions and a try on their way to an exciting 50-12 win.
With both their co-captains at the start of the season (Luca Cindano and Henry Otto) now out with knee injuries, WHS was led by Pieter-Jan Strydom at number 8, who turned in a player of the match performance.
Although the hosts were ahead 40-12 at half-time, a much more inspired Elnatan delivered a spirited second half performance. Although the visitors from Stampriet did not manage to score, they showed real courage with great defence that prevented the host for 27 minutes from adding to the scoreboard.
Elnatan’s two five-pointers were scored by inside centre Antonio Titus and loose head prop JJ Louw. Titus’ speedy run left the WHS defenders in awe, as he also displayed a good eye for a gap. Their fly-half, Antonie Pieters, converted once.
The Kudu Bulls' tries were scored by lock Wian van Zyl (2), left wing Jurgen Meyer (3), Moller, outside centre Sammy Soobramoney and full-back William Beukes.
Correction: In a photo caption in last Monday’s Sport Wrap, Joshua Bester was mistakenly referred to as Jayden van Zyl.
