#JustIn: Fuel price relief next week

The price of both petrol and diesel in Namibia will drop by 80c per litre on3 January, the ministry of mines and energy has said.

In addition, the ministry has decided to extend the temporary relief margin of 20c/l for another month to oil wholesalers. The initial 3-month period was scheduled to end this month.

The National Road Safety council levy was increased by 15c/l – from 2.6c/l to 17.6c/l.

This levy plays a crucial role in spreading road safety awareness, given the national need to scale up endeavours in this regard, the ministry said.
